Cabling

Computer Helpers has network designers and cabling experts to network your new business location or upgrade a network that is no longer working well.  When a client request network or cable services we will schedule a free onsite site survey and discuss the project in detail with the client.  If the client needs help understanding the technology or understanding the scope of our IT role we are here to explain the importance of our role.  We will then provide an estimate and explain our scope of work during the process.

Network Cable Installation

If the proposal is accepted, we will begin work at an agreed upon schedule.   We will outline what needs to get done for a successful office move, relocation, or expansion.   Additional networking equipment might be needed, such as servers, routers, switches, access points, network rack, patch panels to be installed during the network service to finalize the current service.   We are able to provide you a proposal for additional equipment outside of the original scope of your cabling upgrade.

Computer Helpers, Inc. works with all cable mediums such as CAT5/CAT6, Coaxial, Fiber (2,4,6 Strands) and custom lengths and terminations to ensure your transition goes smoothly.   If additional bandwidth is needed we work through a master agent that is capable of reselling all ISP, all configurations at available speeds.    If you decide you want to benefit from VoIP with its ease of use, central management portal and lower cost we can recommend some amazing services.  Upon completion, we will schedule a final site survey and provide a walk through with the client.    The requested service will be completed to our high expectations and we will make sure we have exceeded your expectations in every way possible.

Cabling Details

CAT5/CAT6 is generally used for Local Area Networks (LAN) connections that support 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds, such as office, warehouse, and restaurant applications.   Fiber optic is much capable of greater speeds and used in conjunction with Ethernet.  Fiber cabling is both used in ISP (Verizon FIOS) and local applications.  Where the distance greater exceeds 327 ft fiber cable can replace Ethernet to connect to other networks.

Copper Solutions

The Enhanced Cat 5 (Cat 5e) solutions ensure your cabling system’s ability to support the application performance you expect. Computer Helpers can provide a Cat 5e, Cat 6, or Cat 7 (draft), solution that will exceed TIA Cat 5e performance requirements and give your network an edge today and tomorrow.

Fiber Optic Cable

For maximum versatility and durability, a fiber optic cabling solution can be implemented into your network. Fiber optic cable offers speed and reliability from the building entrance to the desktop, whether it is in the office or on the factory floor. Optical cable also provides greater bandwidth and longer transmission distances while improving the overall efficiency of your network.

Low-voltage Cabling

Structured cabling isn’t limited to data and voice networks. It can include music and paging systems, CCTV and security systems, fire alarms, and access control.
